New Employer forms
Feel free to download and complete the two forms below and fax or email to me - I will apply for them online on your behalf.
Applying for a federal EIN
All employers, no matter how small the business is, with one or more part-time or full-time employees, must have an EIN. When completed, this form can be mailed or faxed to the IRS, or the information can be entered online for and often immediate employer number.
Applying for a California ID
Form DE 1 - Commercial Employer Account Registration and Update Form (most employers should use this form).

Required federal posters
The FirstStep Poster Advisor is designed to help employers comply with the poster requirements of several laws administered by the Department of Labor (DOL). These laws require employers to display official DOL posters where employees can readily observe them. DOL provides the posters at no cost to employers.

California Posters
Once an employer registers with the Employment Development Department (EDD), they receive a notice to post, which informs their employees of their rights under the Unemployment Insurance (UI), Disability Insurance (DI), and Paid Family Leave (PFL) programs. This notice must be posted in a prominent location that is easily seen by the employees. Follow the link to see if you are required to post additional notices.
